On the 40^th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relation between China and Japan, Principal Mr. Li Zhicheng visited Sapporo Middle School at the invitation from JICE (Japan International Cooperation Centre) and the school. On Jan 27^th, 2012, two schools hold a great signing ceremony. Both Mr. Li Zhicheng and Principal Otsu Kazuko addressed the ceremony and foresaw a bright future between the two schools.

23 students and teachers witnessed this historic moment. Mr. Xu Jinping, General Consul at Hokkaido, and Mr. Chang Fengsheng, Director of Education Bureau of Yancheng were also present at the ceremony and expressed their wishes that both schools could further their exchange, aiming to train more students with international horizons and devoted to friendship between China and Japan. Several Japanese media such as Asahi Shimbun, Yomiuri Shimbun and Hokkaido Shimbum covered this event.

Mr. Li Zhicheng and Ms. Otsu are exchanging presents.

Mr. Chang Fengsheng and the education entourage from Yancheng also attend the ceremony.

Mr. Li Zhicheng and Ms. Otsu signed the agreements on establishing sister-school relationship.
